Romano: Morata ‘set to join Como’ from Milan after Osimhen domino falls

Alvaro Morata will soon complete his move from AC Milan to Como, with Victor Osimhen closing in on returning to Galatasaray.

It has been known for weeks that Morata wanted to join up with Cesc Fabregas at Como from the start of next season. He was convinced by the coach and the project that was put forward by the team from the lake.

However, Galatasaray were an obstacle in the negotiations. In the winter transfer window they agreed a 12-month loan deal which meant that an agreement was needed to terminate it early, and they had already paid a sizeable loan fee.

Morata to Como imminent

In an update on his X profile, Fabrizio Romano states: “Álvaro Morata, now set to join Como from Galatasaray as soon as all documents for Osimhen deal will be signed next week. Morata has been waiting for Como for one month… and now, all set.”

It has been reported by MilanNews and other reliable sources that the striker’s switch to Como would be a permanent deal, therefore not a loan with option or obligation.

The transfer fee would be around €10m, therefore avoiding a capital loss on the balance sheet and boosting the mercato budget.
