Romano rules out Milan return for Thiago Silva: “Will not play in Italy”

Thiago Silva has been linked with what would be a sensational return to Milan in January, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the defender definitely won’t play in Italy.

Milan’s defensive flaws have been highlighted in the last few games, with Koni De Winter struggling to replicate the standards of the usual back-three players. As such, the Rossoneri have been linked with a few centre-backs and Thiago Silva has been one of them.

Yesterday, reports suggested that Allegri wants to reunite with the player, but it seems the manager won’t get his wish fulfilled. At least Fabrizio Romano is right, effectively ruling out the links in his latest YouTube video.

“Thiago Silva will not play in Italy, I can tell you this with absolute certainty. Thiago Silva will join a European club and he already has in mind which one. I can’t say more at this moment, but I will write it on a piece of paper here [shows paper, ending in ‘to’],” the journalist stated.

Some fans have already commented on the matter on social media, highlighting that the club Romano is referring to could be Porto, given the piece of paper. In any case, if the Brazilian won’t go to Milan, it remains to be seen which player the Rossoneri could target.
