AC Milan have found themselves in the midst of a title race as we head into 2026, with just over half of the season remaining.
It is a case of so far so good for Milan in the league. They have racked up 35 points from 16 games thus far, with 10 wins, five draws and just the one defeat which came all the way back in round one.
That means that they have gone 15 games in the league without a defeat, and impressive feat in itself. Moreover, their record in the head-to-head games against other sides in the European places is the best of any team.
Milan have already had to negotiate some tough back-to-backs in the league. They played Napoli and Juventus consecutively, as well as Atalanta and Roma, then Inter and Lazio. But how does the remaining schedule look?
Milan’s remaining games
The fixture list is quite kind on paper early in the new year. A trip to Cagliari is followed by a home game against Genoa and then an away match against Fiorentina. All three sides are in the bottom few spots, even if games against lesser teams has been a bit of an issue.
The short hop to Como on 15 January will be a big test, then – after a home match against Lecce – there are two very tough fixtures against Roma and Bologna in the space of a few days, both away from home.

A re-arranged home game against Como is followed by games against Pisa (A), Parma (H) and Cremonese (A), which is again a nice trio of matches to end February.
Then comes a very difficult run: Inter in the home derby, followed by Lazio away, Torino at home and Champions Napoli away takes the Rossoneri from March into April.
Getting down to the business end, matches versus Udinese (H) and Hellas Verona (A) precede a big one against Juventus on 26 April. Then, the season finishes with not too bad a run: Sassuolo away, Atalanta at home, Genoa away and Cagliari at home.
Ultimately, everyone still has to play everyone at least once more, but Milan have the chance to generate some momentum in certain parts of the second half, and will hope to keep winning the six-pointers.
