Arrigo Sacchi has given his thoughts on what Massimiliano Allegri will bring to AC Milan, believing that ‘solidity’ will become the main asset.
This morning, Sacchi was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport and offered his general overview of the main transfer moves by Italian clubs. He spoke about two big midfield signings that Milan and Napoli made, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
Modric and De Bruyne have arrived…
“If they haven’t yet taken the keys to Napoli and Milan, they will soon. Champions like that should be put in the freezer and made to last as long as possible.”
What will Allegri bring to Milan?
“Defensive solidity, which was lacking last season. He’s a master at building up play out of possession. And then, up front, he has players who can solve situations at any moment.”
Milan have started the season in a very mixed way, losing their first home game at San Siro against newly-promoted Cremonese which set off some panic alarms in the fanbase.
They bounced back with a 2-0 victory away against Lecce before the international break, then adding Christopher Nkunku, Adrien Rabiot and David Odogu to the ranks before the final gong. The field, as always, will tell the true story.
