AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has revealed his belief that the City Council will make a ‘wise decision’ regarding San Siro.
Make no mistake, Milan vs. Napoli is the game to watch around Europe this weekend. There are so many fascinating sub-plots, beyond the opportunity for Milan to send an early message by winning to go above the champions.
There’s the renewal of the rivalry between Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte after over 12 years since their last meeting. They are the two active coaches with the most Scudetti, with Conte one behind his compatriot.
The midfield battles have it all too. The brains and quality of Luka Modric and Kevin De Bruyne, the physical duel between Youssouf Fofana and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, the new star Adrien Rabiot and the MVP Scott McTominay among others.
It should be a fascinating contest at La Scala del Calcio, and before the game Scaroni spoke to DAZN. Their comments were relayed my MilanNews.
Tomorrow is a crucial day for San Siro…
“Tomorrow marks the end of a long journey I began many years ago. I believe the City Council will make a wise decision tomorrow, a decision that is right for the two clubs and for Italian football. This is a crucial step that I hope will happen tomorrow.”

Is there trust? There have been doubts about transparency…
“As for Milan, it’s very simple. Milan are owned by RedBird, which is owned by Mr. Gerry Cardinale, whom we see often and know a little about. I don’t understand the transparency issue. As for Inter, they’ll talk about it, but their situation is similar to ours.”
Are you confident?
“We’re confident because if any problems were to arise, we’d all lose: the teams, Milan, Italy, Italian football. I don’t see anyone who could take responsibility for causing such damage.”
