Adriano Galliani has been linked with a return to AC Milan for a while now, and he met with Massimiliano Allegri to have dinner last night.
Over the past year, a lot has been said about Galliani and whether he could reprise his role at Milan after leaving Monza earlier this season. The Italian even discussed a return late last year, but things have quietened down recently.
On New Year’s Eve, a report even stated that it would take ‘sensational developments’ this year for him to return to Casa Milan, largely due to an offer from FIFA. However, that love for the Rossoneri remains very clear.
Galliani and Allegri’s dinner
Nicolo Schira, this morning, reported a potential update, with Galliani meeting Allegri to have dinner together, and they also watched the Inter vs. Juventus game. What was discussed remains a mystery, though.
It is probably just a meeting between old friends, but whilst the rumours of a return are still present, more will of course be thought of the situation. However, the fact that it was dinner with the coach, rather than Gerry Cardinale, for example, who is in Milano currently, says a lot.
It is not one to put to bed completely yet, but it certainly seems like nothing is happening in light of a return.
