Cremonese striker Marco Nasti appears to be just one step away from joining Empoli, thus going back to the second tier, and AC Milan are keeping a close eye on the matter.
Most Rossoneri fans will recognise the name Nasti, seeing as he came through the youth ranks at Milan. He also played a few pre-season games with the first team in between loan spells, before joining Cremonese in a permanent transfer last summer.
Milan allowed the striker to leave completely free of charge, but as has become more common recently, they added a 50% future resale clause in the deal. This is something we have discussed at great length in one of our latest bonus articles.
50% of how much?
According to Nico Schira, following interest from Monza and Spezia as well, Empoli are on the home stretch in their pursuit of Nasti. The intention is to conclude the deal very soon, although there isn’t the greatest urgency involved.

Nasti played a small part in Cremonese’s promotion to Serie A last season but he won’t get to reap any of the rewards, now set to move back to the second tier. Of course, it’s the right move for his career as he needs playing time.
And Milan? Well, with the move being to a Serie B club, we don’t expect it to be a hefty one. This means that the 50% clause might not do much for the Rossoneri in the end, which is a shame but also expected given Nasti’s development recently.
