AC Milan had a scout present to watch Moise Kean in action ahead of a potential move in the summer window, it is claimed.
With Jean-Philippe Mateta now crossed off the list following the knee issues that his medical revealed on deadline day, Milan are looking ahead to 2026-27 with the intention of signing the right striker for the present and future.
A number of names have been linked in the few days since the window closed, from Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus to Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal. One option that continues to gain momentum is Moise Kean, currently at Fiorentina.
Milan’s scouting mission
According to Nicolo Schira, a Milan scout was present on Saturday night at the Stadio Artemio Franchi to watch the game between Fiorentina and Torino, to monitor Kean. The Italian is ‘among Milan’s targets’ for the striker position in view of next season.

The scout will likely have been impressed with what he saw, given that Kean scored La Viola’s second goal of the night to put them in front in the 57th minute. However, they were unable to hang on and drew 2-2 because of a 94th-minute equaliser, so it was not a game-winner for the Italian.
After scoring 19 league goals in 2024-25, this season has been a bit more of a struggle for Kean. He has six goals in Serie A, so is on course for around 10 in total, but it must be said that Fiorentina as a team have been dismal.
