Tottenham Hotspur will be surprised to learn which outfield player has played the most minutes for the club in the Premier League this season.
It has been another season littered with injury crises for Tottenham, with Spurs fans having become quite accustomed to an issue which has now been ongoing for almost two years.
Not only have Tottenham been without James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski throughout the campaign, but neither Thomas Frank nor Igor Tudor has been able to field something resembling their best eleven.
In fact, the data suggests that Spurs have had by far the worst hit with injuries of any club in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
| Player | Injury | Potential Return |
| Wilson Odobert | Knee | November 2026 |
| James Maddison | Knee | Unknown |
| Dejan Kulusevski | Knee | May 2026 |
| Rodrigo Bentancur | Hamstring | April 2026 |
| Mohammed Kudus | Thigh | Early April 2026 |
| Ben Davies | Ankle | Mid April 2026 |
| Yves Bissouma | Knock | Unknown |
| Mathys Tel | Knock | Unknown |
| Guglielmo Vicario | Hernia | April 2026 |

Micky van de Ven has played the most league minutes for Tottenham this season
Micky van de Ven’s fitness record has been a matter of concern since the centre-back’s move from Wolfsburg three years ago, with the centre-back suffering multiple hamstring injuries.
Van de Ven even worked with a biomechanical specialist to change his running style last season and reduce the chances of an injury, and that seems to have had the desired effect.
The Netherlands international has played more Premier League minutes for Spurs this season than any other outfield player with 2413.
The top three are rounded off by Pedro Porro and Djed Spence, who have played 2168 and 1812 minutes respectively in the league this season.
| Tottenham player | Minutes played in Premier League |
| Guglielmo Vicario | 2,790 |
| Micky Van de Ven | 2,413 |
| Pedro Porro | 2,168 |
| Djed Spence | 1,812 |
| Cristian Romero | 1,802 |
| Joao Palhinha | 1,779 |
| Xavi Simons | 1,599 |
| Mohammed Kudus | 1,545 |
| Richarlison | 1,504 |
| Rodrigo Bentancur | 1,415 |
Cristian Romero has also played a lot for Spurs this season
Interestingly, the fourth on that list is Cristian Romero, who has managed to play 1802 minutes across 22 league matches, despite his injuries and multiple suspensions.
These numbers suggest that Tottenham have been able to get their best centre-backs out on the pitch more often than not in the league this season, which makes the team’s continued struggles even more concerning.
Romero has assured Spurs fans he will give his 200 per cent in the final seven games of the season, as the Lilywhites scrap for their survival in the Premier League.
