Tottenham ratings snub Archie Gray: FotMob average has Spurs star down in 15th

Tottenham Hotspur’s difficult campaign has been reflected in individual performances, but FotMob’s average ratings may surprise some fans.

The 25/26 season has been a disaster for Tottenham Hotspur, who find themselves in 17th place in the Premier League table.

A winless 2026 has only gone on to cement Spurs as the most out-of-form side in the English top flight this campaign, putting them on course to break the dreaded Derby County record of 18 matches without a win in a calendar year.

With so many dreadful displays this season, it is increasingly difficult to point out the standout players for Tottenham. Many of the club’s stars are guilty of individual mistakes and even a lack of effort, as they are often outplayed by most sides in the division.

Tottenham ratings: Cristian Romero tops FotMob list as Archie Gray misses out

FotMob has now put together its list of top performers at Tottenham this season, giving them a rating from 0-10, but excluded from the top ten is young sensation, Archie Gray.

At the top of their list is club captain Cristian Romero, who has been handed a 7.04 rating, and while he has had his struggles this season, Romero has still popped up with some crucial goals and assists.

However, in second place is Rodrigo Bentancur, who has been sidelined for most of the second half of the season.

He played most of his football under Thomas Frank in the pivot midfield role, where he was tasked with mopping things up and keeping things ticking.

Many will remember the initial struggles with the pivot of both Bentancur and Palhinha that hindered Spurs’ creativity.

Rounding up the top five are Mohammed Kudus with a 6.99 rating, Pedro Porro with a 6.98, and Joao Palhinha with a 6.93 rating.

Spurs debate as Archie Gray overlooked in Tottenham rankings

There are a few players who have made the top ten who definitely should not have been ahead of Archie Gray.

One could argue that Gray deserves a spot ahead of the likes of Bentancur, Palhinha and even Bergvall. The youngster has been top this season for Tottenham, putting in a series of strong performances, particularly since the turn of the year.

Gray was outstanding in the clash against Atletico Madrid, where Spurs secured a 3-2 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, according to FotMob’s ratings, Gray is the 15th highest-rated player at Tottenham this season, with a 6.54 rating.

But we do believe that, should the youngster continue his impressive displays, Gray could reach a rare Lucas Bergvall-like phenomenon this season.
