AC Milan’s injury problems have gone from bad to worse as Ruben Loftus-Cheek could also miss tonight’s game against Fiorentina.
It was already known that Milan would go into the game with a wave of injury issues. Christian Pulisic, Adrien Rabiot, Pervis Estupinan, Christopher Nkunku and Ardon Jashari will all be absent, depleting the already thin depth.
Now, Sky are reporting that there was a problem on Saturday in training, and it will further affect Massimiliano Allegri’s planning for the game: Loftus-Cheek suffered a problem in training, a muscle issue.
The English midfielder will have a test today on the day of the game to see if he can make it. If he is not in the best condition then Saelemaekers will play as an attacking midfielder being Rafael Leao, with Zachary Athekame on the right.

Allegri’s words
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on the eve of the match, Allegri wanted to stress that he has enough players and that injuries cannot be an excuse but rather extra fuel.
“We have enough players for tomorrow’s match, so there are absolutely no problems in that sense. Injuries are part of the season, you have to be good at understanding the moment. It’s extra motivation.”
