Sky: Milan to make final attempt for Strasbourg full-back before turning to Almeria star

AC Milan are going to make one more attempt to sign Guela Doue before turning fully to Marc Pubill, a report claims.

With just a few days until the Milan squad depart for their tour of Asia and Australia, there is a sense of urgency to give Massimiliano Allegri at least one new starting full-back. There have been many names linked for each flank, and yet none seem to be close to getting over the line.

A final attempt

According to Sky, several names are being considered to add two new faces to Allegri’s squad. On the right side of the defence in particular, two players stand out above the rest.

The Rossoneri will try to close the deal for Marc Pubill from Almería, after making a final attempt to sign Guela Doué from Strasbourg (who are asking for €25m to sell).

Pubill was born in 2003 and is the right-back for Almeria plus the Spain U21 national team. He was an Olympic gold medalist with Spain, and he used to play for Levante. He made 36 appearances for the Spanish second division last year.

Doué – the brother of Desiré, who is now a superstar with PSG – was born one year earlier than the Spaniard. He played 34 games last season for Strasbourg.
