Massimiliano Allegri seems to have decided to make a couple of late changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s game against Napoli.
Allegri led a final training session on the day of the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final, aiming to clarify and resolve any doubts that he is having regarding his selection choices, and some interesting signs have emerged.
Two late changes
According to what is being reported by Sky, there’s a real possibility that Luka Modric will start on the bench, with Ardon Jashari likely replacing him in the starting eleven. It is nothing to worry about regarding the Croatian, and is simply to allow him to catch his breath given the minutes accumulated.
Another possible change is on the left side with Pervis Estupinian coming in for Davide Bartesaghi. That would be a bolder call given that the Italian scored a brace and was the best player on the pitch against Sassuolo a few days ago.
Antonio Conte meanwhile is considering using Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the three-man defence, with Matteo Politano as a right wing-back. Leonardo Spinazzola will start on the left. Elmas will be up front, with Noah Lang on the bench.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Jashari, Rabiot, Estupinan; Nkunku, Pulisic.
