Napoli have gone back in for Yunus Musah, according to reports, but contacts with AC Milan never stopped.
According to the latest from Sky, Napoli are back on the trail of Musah Aurelio. De Laurentiis’ club maintained contact with Milan and could make another attempt to sign the American midfielder, despite Nottingham Forest also now showing interest him.
How things left off
The last meeting between the two teams in June ended in a negative outcome, with the parties unable to reach an agreement on the total transfer fee – of around €25m – despite the player’s approval. With the arrival of Ardon Jashari, Musah’s chances of playing time have further diminished.
The 23-year-old is seen as a player with great versatility, capable of playing various roles and always putting himself at the service of the team. These are characteristics that convinced Antonio Conte that he wants the ex-Valencia man.

Gianluca Di Marzio also confirms the news that the Partenopei have once again intensified their interest in Musah, after discussions in recent weeks which did not lead to an agreement. Last season Musah made 40 appearances in all competitions, providing three assists.
It remains to be seen if Milan might have a bit of a ‘softer’ stance when it comes to the transfer fee, after the outlay to get Ardon Jashari.
