Further updates have arrived from Milanello regarding the conditions of four injured players, in view of Sunday’s game against Roma.

Massimiliano Allegri has already battled many injuries in the early part of the season, all while having limited depth to begin with, and it appears that he might have lost another man ahead of the big game at San Siro in four days. Sky have broken things down case by case.

Fikayo Tomori: The defender is at risk for Milan-Roma, after a collision against Atalanta that he played on following. Tests on his swollen knee revealed no injuries but he remains in pain from a bruise, which could seriously jeopardise his chances of being fit for Sunday. The situation will be evaluated on a daily basis.

Christian PulisicThe forward is feeling better, and there’s a slim chance he could make the bench vs. Roma. Allegri had hoped to have him back in the squad starting next Monday, ahead of Parma. The next few training sessions will be crucial to determine whether he can push that forward even more.

Rafael Leao: The Portuguese underwent an MRI scan that ruled out any hip injuries. He too is undergoing ongoing management, treatment and evaluation. It will be necessary to wait to determine whether he will be available on Sunday.

Santiago Gimenez: Also underwent a scan on his ankle, which didn’t show any worrying problems. He will be evaluated daily also.

Adrien Rabiot: Rabiot is trying to accelerate his recovery, anticipate his return, and be back to face Parma in 10 days. It will be in the last game before the break, so he won’t be rushed.
