AC Milan have been dealt some terrible news this afternoon, with it seeming likely that Christian Pulisic’s injury is not a small one.
With Pulisic suffering from an ankle problem this week, it would have made sense if he had been rested for a friendly against Australia yesterday. However, despite the situation not looking fantastic in the lead-up to the game, he was selected to start.
This has proven costly, though, with the winger being taken off after only 30 minutes of the game played.
Terrible news for Pulisic
Immediately after the game, it did not seem good, with a teammate suggesting that the winger had to be consoled, with a ‘recovery process’ likely. Whilst Mauricio Pochettino also stated that it seemed like a hamstring injury.
Whilst no prognosis has been delivered just yet, the American will seemingly be out for a decent period, as Manuele Baiocchini told Sky Sport, via MilanZone.
“For Pulisic, it seems like a rather serious issue; recovery times will be known after the tests.”
