Sky: Sassuolo no, Supercoppa yes – when Leao is currently expected to return

Rafael Leao was substituted with an injury against Torino on Monday night, and AC Milan already have a return in sight.

Fears were big when Leao was taken off against Toro, thinking that he may be out for an extended period. However, he has not suffered a muscle injury, and instead, it is a case of inflammation.

As a result, he will not be out for too long, and Milan already have a return date in mind for the star.

No need to rush back

This evening, Sky report that he will not be present for Sunday’s game against Sassuolo, and it makes sense that the Rossoneri do not want to take any risks. After all, there is no need to rush him back quickly; the season is long.

Instead, though, he should be back for the Supercoppa Italiana at the end of the month. It is reported that he should travel with the team, so hopefully, he will feature at least once before the turn of the year.

There will be no rushing him back, as was the case with Christian Pulisic’s injury. Massimiliano Allegri and his team have regularly focused on recovery, so this should be no different.
