Dusan Vlahovic is close to reaching an agreement with AC Milan over a free transfer, according to the Spanish outlet Sport, as Barcelona have withdrawn their interest.
Vlahovic will soon have just six months left on his contract with Juventus, meaning he will inevitably get offers from other clubs. Milan are keeping a close eye on the situation and after monitoring the player in the summer as well, they could perhaps make a move for a free transfer.
As things stand, the Rossoneri’s centre-forwards Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez have failed to impress, with the management forced to do something either in January or in the summer. And Max Allegri, as is known, likes Vlahovic a lot.
Agreement supposedly close
According to the Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona had been keeping an eye on Vlahovic amid the opportunity to sign a pre-contract in January. However, having decided that the Serbian isn’t the right fit for the club, they have opted to withdraw their interest.

This is something that Vlahovic has been made aware of, per the report, and he’s now negotiating a deal with Milan instead. In fact, the report continues to state that the striker ‘is close to reaching an agreement with Milan’.
Sport certainly isn’t as reputable as Italian sources, so we have to take the above with a pinch of salt, but Milan do need a striker and Vlahovic has been mentioned before.
