‘Supporting at San Siro suspended indefinitely’ – Curva Sud make worrying statement

1 hour ago 24

News that no AC Milan fans wanted has arrived from the Curva Sud, and it is a worrying thing to read, indeed.

In recent weeks, there has been an emptiness to San Siro, the Curva has been empty, and with it, the stadium has felt off. The ringing of chants and even jeers from the area is missing, and Milan can certainly feel it.

Whilst there is still noise inside the stadium, it is not the same. Far from it. In fact, it feels more away-dominated. Unfortunately, there seems to be no fix for it right now, either.

The message

Last week, the group posted a message, stating that things had gone backwards since the Cremonese game. So, they would not be in attendance for last night’s fixture. Now, after a first win at San Siro, that message has been extended indefinitely.

In last night’s fanzine, which the group promoted before the fixture, there was a message present, which Calciomercato.com have relayed.

Today, we hoped to announce an opening on the repressive front that has gripped our city for months, and instead, for the umpteenth time, we are telling a totally different story. While everything remains unchanged on the blacklist front, with the main protagonists of organized fan support forced to emigrate to other sectors of the stadium or even to remain outside San Siro, without any sign of openness on the issue of banners/flags after weeks of meetings between the various parties involved (except the directly interested parties, i.e. US) and a thousand conflicting developments, the current situation is as follows:

“While the alternatives proposed for the three main groups at the beginning of June have met with minimal positive response—solutions that, it’s worth remembering, were imposed and barely accepted by the kids who have seen themselves stripped, without any logical reason, of the very thing they’ve identified with for years—all the other groups are held hostage by a lack of response or new, unjustified bans, which were communicated to us on Thursday evening (always verbally and never officially).

“Having reached this point, and aware of all the efforts we have made to remain close to our beloved AC Milan, we announce the indefinite suspension of support at San Siro, as occurred during the first two home games of the season.

“This will be until the Club and the institutions find a reasonable solution to the problem or, alternatively, find the courage to spell out in black and white the reasons for this insane repression.

“Furthermore, we confidently await the review of the police reports cited in the letters from the Appraisal Committee on Via Aldo Rossi, where appeals were sent to some of the blacklisted letters. These documents document the behaviours that violated public order, leading to the blacklisting and deprivation of the season tickets for the young people.”
