Sweden makes Alexander Isak decision with injury hint on Liverpool striker

2 hours ago 1

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak has been named in Graham Potter's first Sweden squad for the upcoming international break, even though he has been out injured for the last couple of weeks.

Isak was taken off at half-time in the Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt on October 22 and hasn't been seen since. Arne Slot said on Monday it was possible he could feature against Manchester City this weekend, but that he wouldn't start.

Since signing for Liverpool from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day in a British record deal, Isak has been restricted through injury and a lack of match sharpness. He missed most of the summer forcing through his move to Anfield.
