AC Milan have had a slow start to the summer mercato, which is frustrating some. However, there is blame to be placed on certain people.
It is difficult to reset things in a few weeks, but Milan never expected to do that. Instead, the goals were realistic from the start, rather to have a rework – a less extreme start to Igli Tare’s time in Milano. Of course, for some, that is not enough.
Two signings have been made, but there is no hiding from the fact that the Rossoneri need more, and whilst it is a start, it cannot be the case for much longer.
Not to blame
As the squad prepares for the pre-season camp, there is another four signings required, at least, to make the Diavolo competitive. However, rather than blaming the new sporting director, Carlo Pellegatti states that others need to be held accountable, as MilanNews relays from his Instagram.
“Two full-backs, a midfielder, a striker. Four key players are missing to strengthen the squad. However, it’s not just a question of quantity but also of quality. They must be better than those who left.
“Igli Tare is the least to blame for this situation. He had been free for some time, was first contacted at the end of February and was signed at the end of May: TOO LATE! The original sin of this 2025 transfer window!!!”
