There have been many suggestions that Christopher Nkunku will leave AC Milan in January, but this seems to be false.
With a striker arriving, it is only natural that there have been questions about one leaving. Santiago Gimenez is injured, so that makes an exit for him unlikely. So, the only other option is Nkunku, who has struggled to perform so far.
Of course, he has shown the occasional glimpse of promise. However, the overwhelming feeling is one of frustration. Put simply, the Rossoneri have not gotten €40 million worth of promise yet, and if an opportunity arose to earn that sum back, it seemed they may take it.
In fact, in recent days, it has been suggested that Igli Tare would communicate to his agent that he needed to find a new club. However, this is not the case.
Nkunku stays
As Sacha Tavolieri reports for Sky, the plan is that he will remain a Rossoneri player ‘at least until next summer’. No negotiations are underway and his agent has denied any talks of a move, with the club planning to rely on him until the end of the season at least.
Perhaps then, the case will be re-opened, but for now, there is nothing to suggest that he will leave now.
