With Theo Hernandez’s move to Al-Hilal imminent, AC Milan will now look at the mercato for a new starting option.
There have been several names linked with the left-back position since Theo’s admission that he did not know where his future lied last summer. Milan’s top choice, Maxim De Cuyper, has already been taken off the market, after his move to Brighton, so the hunt continues.
It may not be a bad thing, though, as it forces the Rossoneri to look at other, and maybe better, options.
Two openings
As TBR Football write this morning, the Diavolo are now ‘dreaming’ about the signing of Destiny Udogie from Tottenham Hotspur. Previously, the Italian was seen as unreasonable, due to the finances of the deal.
However, this seems to have changed after the sale of Hernandez, which provides an instant boost to the finances, whilst also removing a large wage bill.
It is not just a one-way street too. As TBR have learned, the Spurs defender is ‘enticed’ by the idea of playing at San Siro, and the chance to work with Massimiliano Allegri is a factor, with him ‘open’ to the move.

Spurs, understandably, would rather not sell the defender this summer. However, he would ‘need to be convinced’ to stay.
