Lucas Bergvall was forced off during the second half of Tottenham's 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night
Thomas Frank has issued an update on the fitness of Tottenham star Lucas Bergvall. The 19-year-old picked up an ankle issue during the second half of the midweek 2-0 Champions League win over 10-man Borussia Dortmund.
Reports in Scandanavia have already claimed Bergvall is set to miss Sweden's World Cup play-off match against Ukraine in March, however, Frank appeared to suggest further tests will be required to discover the extent of the injury.
The Dane said: "Unfortunately Lucas picked up an ankle injury. He keeps being very unlucky with injuries. It looks like a bigger one. He's been assessed in the next couple of days so we'll know more about the time frame."
There was positive news, however, on Joao Palhinha. Frank explained: "Palhinha is progressing, could be close for Burnley but will be tight. Dom, Destiny and Xavi all came through well and have had a little extra recovery time. They should be available for Burnley."

Bergvall has already endured an injury-hit campaign having previously suffered from concussion and a groin issue.
He initially appeared to clash knees with Emre Can but the indications are he picked up the ankle problem during a separate incident.
Spurs' young attacking midfielder started alongside Archie Gray against BVB before being replced by Jun'ai Byfield in the 63rd minute.
Bergvall was able to walk around the pitch at full-time and later hobbled through the mixed zone with real concern that he may have suffered notable damage.
