Thomas Frank has revealed what he thinks about the tactics of a manager who is reportedly Tottenham’s top choice to replace him.

The Lilywhites have won just two of their last nine Premier League games, and there is now serious pressure on Frank, who needs to get Tottenham up the table.

Frank has said he is hopeful the Spurs owners will give him time to turn things around, but serious questions will be asked at the boardroom level if the Lilywhites continue to lose games and drop closer to the relegation zone.

Ahead of his side trip to Selhurst Park, the Dane made interesting observations about Crystal Palace’s system.

Thomas Frank praises rumoured Tottenham target Oliver Glasner

It has been reported by some sources that the Tottenham hierarchy are big admirers of Oliver Glasner, and the Austrian had a chance to pit himself against Frank on Sunday.

Ahead of the game, the Spurs head coach lavished praise on the Palace boss’s work and his system.

Frank said (via Tottenham’s official website): “I think Oliver has done a top job at Palace in many ways, really, really impressive. There is a clear identity of the team – defend low, very compact, very difficult to break down, incredibly good on the counters – probably one of the best in the league.

“They are very good on set pieces as well, one of the best on corners, long throws, so very strong on set pieces as well. Also, when they build, they have a clear identity with their 3-4-3 system. So, they’ve done a really good, impressive job.”

Glasner will be available next summer

It has emerged that the Palace boss will not remain at the South London club beyond the end of the season.

This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who has claimed that Glasner has decided against extending his contract with the Eagles.

The 51-year-old is thought to be keen on a fresh challenge, and the Spurs top brass will certainly be keeping a close eye on developments across London.
