Three things Tottenham Hotspur must fix during the international break to avoid relegation - Opinion

Tottenham Hotspur are in a broken state heading into the international break, with plenty of work to do before club football returns.

Here are the three things Tottenham Hotspur must do in order to return to winning ways and secure Premier League survival.

Spurs need to find a new manager

Igor Tudor looked like he might be the man for Tottenham Hotspur after all, following their 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid.

However, his team followed this up with a dismal display against Nottingham Forest, leaving them in the all too familiar position of 17th in the Premier League table.

Sadly, the manager has suffered a personal grievance due to the death of his father. Therefore, while the international break has come at the right time, Tudor may have mixed feelings about wanting to head straight back to North London to continue his relegation fight.

If Spurs do part ways with the Croatian, his replacement needs to be someone who knows the Premier League. Adi Hutter has been linked with Tottenham, but it would be risky appointing another boss unfamiliar with the English game.

Tottenham have to get Mohammed Kudus fit again

Spurs fans were not too thrilled by the performances of Mohammed Kudus shortly before he picked up an injury in January, but they would give anything to have him back now.

Tudor does not have any right wingers at his disposal and most recently, he had to start Pedro Porro in the more attacking role.

At his best, Kudus is a brilliant ball carrier and he brings decent creativity to the side too. Therefore, getting him fit and ready to play again in April has to be a priority.

Spurs must find a winning team and stick with it

Already, Tudor has changed from his preferred formation at Tottenham and this appeared to be benefitting the team. However, the 4-4-2 formation failed to bear fruit against Forest.

On top of this, he is clearly not sure about who his best players are, as multiple changes were made at the weekend.

Whoever ends up in charge of Spurs has to know which system will work the best and which players should be starting.

It is important to build up consistency by fielding a similar team each game and priority must be given to creativity in the attacking areas.
