TMW: A new plan – Sportiello’s Milan contract no longer set to be torn up

Marco Sportiello’s situation at AC Milan can be resolved in a few ways. In fact, a new way of finalising the partnership is being imagined.

Considering the current deal for Sportiello at Milan will keep him at the club for another two seasons, the Rossoneri are not really needing to release the goalkeeper for the benefit of someone else. Despite this being the idea that was imagined for a while.

In fact, reports today suggest that it could be a completely different idea played out.

A fee involved?

As MilanNews relayed from TMW today, the goalkeeper could actually leave the Rossoneri in a transfer, rather than the parties terminating the deal mutually. Though it seems likely with the wording being that this is the ‘expected’ solution.

Rather than a transfer fee, per se, the clubs could agree on a ‘symbolic payment’ to take over the 33-year-old’s contract. Of course, with Terracciano arriving at Casa Milan this evening to finalise his move to the Diavolo, the deal is not in any danger.

Instead, it probably suggests that things are in the final stages of completion. We will have to see, indeed, though it seems promising from Milan that things are being done in this way.
