AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Federico Chiesa from Liverpool, but there is an obstacle and other teams are in the race.

Milan have already signed one forward in the winter window as Niclas Füllkrug arrived from West Ham United on loan with an option to buy. Amid the talk that Christopher Nkunku is a serious target for Fenerbahce, there might yet be the need to sign another.

Chiesa offered around Italy

Journalist Enzo Bucchioni spoke in his weekly editorial for TMW and he spoke about the future of Chiesa, who is not a starter for Liverpool. Napoli are among the contenders to sign him, with Lorenzo Lucca and Noa Lang both sale candidates, and Chiesa could replace them.

Antonio Conte has given the green light to the idea of working with the former Juventus man, while the player wants to return to playing more regularly for the national team, hoping for an appearance at the World Cup.

He has also been offered to Juventus, Milan and Roma. However, his €7.5m net per season salary is an obstacle for all of the teams mentioned. Liverpool have not yet opened up to letting him go either, because of their own doubts about the attack moving forward, especially concerning Mo Salah.

Chiesa admitted a couple of months ago that he enjoyed watching Milan while he was growing up, and that Kaka was one of his idols.
