With Mike Maignan’s situation still not changing, AC Milan are continuing to assess the mercato for different goalkeeper opportunities.
As the days pass, the chances of Maignan remaining in Rossoneri are getting slimmer. Milan, therefore, must make their own moves too, and look at the mercato for someone to replace the Frenchman.
It is unlikely that they will get a fee, so a big money move for a ‘keeper is unlikely, especially with another striker required. Nevertheless, the Diavolo will still have a budget set aside for his replacement. A player like Mike cannot be replaced on the cheap.
Bento to Milano
The latest idea to emerge takes the scouting team to Saudi Arabia, with Bento Matheus Krepski becoming a name of interest, as Tuttomercatoweb reports, via MilanNews. The Brazilian hopes to get a place in the World Cup squad, and sees a move to Europe as his chance to earn this.
Interest is present from Italy, and Inter are said to be the most interested party, though Milan are at the door, too. Despite arriving for €18 million, he could be sold in January for as little as €10m. However, it will be reliant on his wage being lowered. There is no way that the Diavolo will agree on a €6m salary.
