TMW: Milan could turn back to Bayer Leverkusen captain without Jashari progress

AC Milan could turn back to Granit Xhaka if they are unable to unblock the negotiations over Ardon Jashari, a report claims.

Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano stated last nighyt that the Milan directors are irritated by being made to wait 10 days for a response from Club Brugge after their latest offer. Once came this morning from the CEO Bob Madou, and it was not what they wanted to hear.

“We sat down to talk with Milan out of courtesy. And without talking about money. Everyone knows what Ardon has done, but for us this isn’t the end of a cycle,” he said.

“I’m not saying we won’t make exceptions, but at the moment there’s no offer on the table that makes me think we should. We’re assuming he’ll stay. We understand that Ardon may be disappointed, but he knows what we expect from him.”

Milan look to Plan B(s)

TMW report that Milan, based on the information gathered, believe they have put forward a financially adequate proposal and, for this very reason, are unlikely to raise their offer further above €35m plus bonuses.

The path seems to be one of further waiting, with the hope that the Belgian club will eventually give in, especially considering the player’s desire to wear the Rossoneri shirt and the fact he is not in training.

If this were not to be the case, Milan’s management would focus on alternatives to Jashari, and the first names to be considered are Bayer Leverkusen’s Granit Xhaka and Valencia’s Javi Guerra.

The Spaniard is currently meeting with the Spanish club to discuss a contract renewal, starting with a €3m net per year request that is unlikely to be met. Terms had been agreed with Xhaka, meanwhile.
