Tottenham fans are growing increasingly vocal over one midfielder’s future, as calls for the club to cut ties intensify amid fresh disciplinary issues.
Thomas Frank has named his 22-man squad to face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup final, his first competitive game as Tottenham boss.
The squad list contained some surprises, with Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie both making the cut despite recent injury concerns. However, Yves Bissouma was notably absent, with Frank confirming his exclusion was due to disciplinary reasons.
Speaking about the decision, Frank explained to the media: “Bissouma has not travelled due to disciplinary reasons.
“He has been late several times, and the latest occasion was one too many. While you need to give your players a lot of love, there must be demands and consequences. This time, there was a consequence.”
Tottenham fans react to Thomas Frank’s disciplinary action against Yves Bissouma
Spurs supporters have not held back in response to Frank’s comments, with many now urging the club to part ways with the Malian midfielder.
One fan posted: “GET RID.” Another remarked: “Probably not happy that he will not be here this season.”
A third wrote: “Get ready to learn Turkish buddy.” Others simply called for the player to be sold, while one supporter criticised: “He says he wants to stay here but does this FFS.”
One fan backed the manager’s stance, saying: “So embarrassing from Bissouma. Ange said similar about his timekeeping. One of the senior players in the squad too. Good to see Frank stamping his authority if players take the piss.”
Another added: “What a wasteman. Another one to add to the list of players who did not fulfil their potential at Spurs.”
A final comment read: “Lazy on the pitch and lazy in the basics, not surprising and so nice to see a manager punish accordingly.”

Bissouma’s future under Thomas Frank
Yves Bissouma’s time at Tottenham could now be on borrowed time, with reports suggesting Spurs are open to selling the midfielder.
Interest is said to be coming from Juventus, Fenerbahce, and clubs in the Saudi Pro League, with the player appearing on multiple shortlists.
For someone with his level of experience, repeatedly arriving late for training is unprofessional, especially under a new manager. Tottenham fans appear to have run out of patience, particularly with Joao Palhinha already in the squad.
