Five Tottenham Hotspur players have been named by fans as their early Player of the Season contenders.
It has been a season of mixed results for Tottenham Hotspur, who currently occupy fourth place in the Premier League table.
That position, however, marks a significant improvement from last season’s struggles, when they finished in 17th place, and while there are still flaws to iron out, the progress under Thomas Frank is clear to see.
Frank’s side has shown glimpses of quality and character, but inconsistency has been their biggest obstacle; the Tottenham boss would be hoping his side can find greater balance in their performances.

Tottenham fans vote Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus, and Micky van de Ven as standout performers
Still, several players have impressed for Tottenham this season, and supporters have wasted no time in naming their early player of the season favourites.
Taking to social media, Spurs fans gave their opinions on who has made the biggest impact, and there was a clear theme in the responses.
One fan said: “Kudus, Palhinha or Van de Ven.” Another added: “Kudus.” One more stated: “Palhinha by a country mile.”
Others shared a similar view, with one writing: “Impressed by Micky, Kudus, Spence and Danso has done well replacing Romero.” Another added: “Palhinha, then Kudus, then VdV.”
The Portuguese midfielder continued to receive strong backing, as one supporter commented: “Palhinha, no other player comes close.”
Others mentioned: “VDV or Kudus. Joao though…” while another concluded: “VDV by far. Palhinha second, Romero third even with his injury.”
Guglielmo Vicario, Joao Palhinha and Micky van de Ven impress for Spurs
Several Tottenham players have enjoyed fine campaigns, and each area of the pitch has seen its own standout figures emerge.
In goal, Guglielmo Vicario has been one of the most consistent performers. Despite the occasional error, his shot-stopping ability and command of the box have been vital, and Tottenham could easily have been in a worse position without his contributions.
In midfield, Joao Palhinha has proven to be a key cog in Frank’s system, with the 30-year-old excelling in the defensive midfield role, breaking up play and offering steel and balance at the heart of the side.
At the back, Micky van de Ven has combined his defensive reliability with attacking threat, already scoring five goals this season while contributing to several clean sheets.
Further forward, Mohammed Kudus has been Tottenham’s most dynamic presence in attack, with the Ghana international constantly driving at defenders and providing a spark in the final third.
