Tottenham fans react as Igor Tudor exit confirmed amid relegation fears

2 hours ago 26

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have wasted little time reacting to the departure of interim manager Igor Tudor, who spent just over a month as Spurs boss.

After weeks of speculation, it has finally been confirmed by Tottenham Hotspur that Igor Tudor has departed the club.

It is understood to be a mutual parting of ways, with the Croat having struggled to get Spurs out of the relegation scrap they were in when he took charge a little over a month ago.

A run of one draw in five Premier League games is among the poorest returns by any manager in modern history, making this a decision difficult to argue against from either side.

Tottenham fans react to Igor Tudor decision after exit confirmed

With a decision now reached, fans of the Lilywhites have taken to social media to express their feelings on Igor Tudor‘s departure.

Many Tottenham fans have long clamoured for a decision to be made by the higher-ups regarding the man in the dugout, with the likes of Teddy Sheringham even calling out the decision-makers at the club for their slow reaction.

Taking to the social media platform X, many fans were quick to send in their thoughts on the latest decision by the club.

One fan said: “I personally think it makes no difference unless we get De Zerbi or a proper manager – if anything, it could get worse under a Dyche,” while another added: “Meh – hard to have hope when all the same people responsible for this whole disaster are continuing to make the next desperate decision….”

Elsewhere, one supporter feared the worst: “Where do we go from here… who on earth is gonna wanna take the job now, we are so fucked,” while another did not hold back: “Stupid appointment in the first place—achieved nothing.”

Meanwhile, one more called for a change in approach: “It was coming and it’s for the best. We need someone with Premier League experience and/or is fully COYS.”

Spurs face crucial next step after Igor Tudor exit

Spurs now have a really big decision to make as they go in search of a new manager – their third of the season – for the final seven games of the campaign.

The club has been linked with several options in the last week, including Roberto De Zerbi, Adi Hutter, Chris Hughton and Sean Dyche.

It clearly is a good mix of managers with Premier League experience, given De Zerbi, Hughton and Dyche are linked.

However, at this point it is unclear who the club’s next appointment will be. We already know that De Zerbi will prefer to assess his options in the summer, while Dyche recently spoke about being linked with Tottenham later this week.

This next appointment is big for Spurs, who risk getting relegated should they get it all wrong.
