Tottenham interested in £15m right-back who has worked under De Zerbi before

Tottenham Hotspur are now interested in a 28-year-old full-back who has worked under Roberto De Zerbi amid the latest managerial links.

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a big summer transfer window, according to Johan Lange, after what was a lacklustre winter window.

Whether that will be the case remains to be seen, given Tottenham’s struggles on and off the pitch. Spurs are, at the moment, still considering their managerial options, with Igor Tudor’s future in north London very uncertain.

Tottenham are also yet to appoint a second sporting director following the departure of Fabio Paratici. Of course, Spurs must resolve all of this, including their Premier League status, before they can dream of a “big” transfer window.

Still, Spurs continue to be linked with several options ahead of the summer, and this time, a report from Alessandro Jacobone has linked Tottenham with a move for full-back Pervis Estupinan.

The former Brighton man currently plies his trade in Italy but has struggled to make much of an impact under Max Allegri’s system at AC Milan.

As such, a move to the Premier League has been rumoured, with Tottenham now in the mix amid reports that Roberto De Zerbi is also being considered for the managerial role at Hotspur Way.

The pair previously worked together when they were at Brighton, with the defender producing some of his best football under the Italian manager.

Spurs face competition for Pervis Estupinan amid AC Milan exit talk

Spurs are not the only club reportedly interested in the full-back, with both West Ham United and Fulham acting as competition.

Milan, for their part, is said to be open to selling Estupinan this summer, having signed him for €17 million (£14.6 million) last year.

Given his struggles this season, having managed just 891 minutes in Serie A across the campaign, the full-back could be available at a reduced price, with his current transfermarkt value standing at €14 million (£12 million).
