The half-time whistle has blown in the Premier League match between Tottenham and Manchester United, and it’s time for our player ratings.
Spurs go into the break a man and a goal down at Old Trafford following a Cristian Romero sending-off and a goal from Bryan Mbeumo.
Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:
Guglielmo Vicario – The Tottenham number one was forced into a fine save in the tenth minute after Casemiro let fly from outside the box, making a fine diving stop to keep things level. He was then well beaten by an Mbeumo goal, which came from inside the box, following a well-worked United corner. Vicario did make another fine stop later on to keep things at 1-0 after Casemiro came close with a header. 8.
Archie Gray – The young midfielder is once again putting in a shift at full-back and has done well to keep Cunha relatively quiet. Not as much of a threat going the other way. 6.
Micky van de Ven – The centre-back returned from injury and was put straight into the action. He started the half brightly and, just like Romero, got into the box during a couple of attacks from Spurs. He met Udogie’s low-driven cross as well with an improvised finish, but it was blocked. 6.
Cristian Romero – Let his side down again with his second red card of the season, which will result in his third suspension of the campaign. 2.

Destiny Udogie – The full-back is offering some much-needed width on the left and has not been shy to make overlapping runs. He has got to the byline a couple of times, putting in low, fizzing crosses. 5.5.
Joao Palhinha – Put in a shift in the centre of the pitch. Somehow, he manages to make plenty of strong challenges without regularly getting suspended. Take notes, Cristian. 6.
Pape Matar Sarr – Much better midfield performance than Spurs have been used to. Instead of hoofing the ball long under pressure, he always looks to carry it out and start attacks. 6.
Conor Gallagher – Pressed well from the front. He had the opportunity to give Tottenham an early lead after a deep run and fine pass from Simons, but he did not catch it as sweetly as he would have loved. Almost had a chance to lob Lammens into an empty net but his touch got away from him. 6.
Xavi Simons – The Dutchman is popping up everywhere to create something for Spurs. He put in a lovely dinked ball from the inside-right space to Gallagher, but the midfielder did not get enough power behind his shot. 7.
Wilson Odobert – The Frenchman came in for Muani but barely had an impact on the game. With Romero sent off, Odobert was sacrificed for Dragusin to fill in at centre-back. 5.
Dominic Solanke – The forward has barely had a sniff at goal so far in the first half. He is being marked closely by the United centre-backs. Some of his link-up play has been impressive though. 5.
Substitutes
Radu Dragusin – The Romanian came on following Romero’s sending off and went straight into the centre-back role, having replaced Odobert. 5.
