Roberto De Zerbi is the favourite to be named the next Tottenham Hotspur manager. Igor Tudor left his role as interim manager of the north Londoners one week after the 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest.

De Zerbi, who left Marseille in February, is the bookies choice to become the next Spurs manager. It's understood the Italian has held private talks with Spurs chiefs and may even be willing to takeover the team this season; a U-turn on his previously reported position of preferring to take charge at the end of the season.

Tottenham are perilously close to the relegation zone with Tudor leaving the club in 17th position, one point above 18th placed West Ham United. As the club ponder their next decision, Football.London takes a look at who the bookies believes could take charge.

According to Bet365, De Zerbi is the favourite to walk into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He is currently priced at 7/4.

Meanwhile, an emotional reunion with Mauricio Pochettino is currently listed at 4/1, but any potential return for the Argentine would take place after the World Cup, where he will be guiding hosts the USA.

Relegation battling specialist and former Burnley manager Sean Dyche, who is 8/1 to be appointed by the club. Former Monaco and Borussia Monchengladbach manager Adi Hutter is also odds of 8/1.

The Austrian manager is also ranked slightly ahead of former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, who has repeatedly thrown his hat into the ring by publicly saying how much he would relish taking charge of Tottenham again, 14 years after he left the club.

Below is the list of potential bosses who could takeover in the eyes of Bet365:

  • Roberto De Zerbi 7/1
  • Mauricio Pochettino 4/1
  • Sean Dyche 8/1
  • Adi Hutter 8/1
  • Harry Redknapp 10/1
  • Marco Silva 12/1
  • Robbie Keane 12/1
  • Thiago Motta 12/1
  • Oliver Glasner 16/1
  • Marco Rose 20/1

When Tottenham confirmed Tudor's departure for the club, they released an official statement on their social media pages. It said: "We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect.

"Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach. We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly.

"We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time. An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course."

Tottenham have a difficult run-in to bring an end to a nightmare campaign. After the international break, they must travel to Sunderland on April 12, host Brighton on April 18 and then travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on April 25.

The final four matches of the campaign are also tough, as they travel to Aston Villa, host Leeds United, travel to Chelsea and then finish the campaign with a home match against Everton.
