AC Milan are second in the Serie A standings for points accrued to this stage, but they are top when it comes to fan backing.
Which team brings the most fans to the stadium? According to a special ranking compiled by the football statistics website Transfermarkt – based on average and total attendances over the course of this season – the answer is Milan.
As per their calculations, the Rossoneri’s average attendance is 72,609, with a total of 798,704 fans welcomed to this point. Immediately behind Milan are Inter at 72,398, and Roma are third around 10,000 behind. Pisa are bottom of the list, with an average attendance of 11,337.
What is worth noting is that Milan still have to play the home derby against Inter, which comes early next month, as well as welcoming Juventus to San Siro too. That means there should be at least a couple more full sell-outs on the cards, but if the team keep winning, they could all be.

Exactly one month after the last time (against Lecce, a 1-0 win), Milan will play a home league game at San Siro tonight against Como. As per La Gazzetta dello Sport’s report this morning, around 75,000 fans should be at the game, boosting the average seen above.
