TuttoNapoli: Conte considering making five changes to line-up against Milan

There could be several changes made by Napoli this weekend, with Antonio Conte already thinking ahead to his team’s game against AC Milan.

It is a huge game for both teams this weekend. The Partenopei face their first big Serie A test in Milan, and whilst it is the biggest test that the Rossoneri have faced thus far, you can debate if it is their first test of this magnitude.

Considering the context of last season, beating Bologna a fortnight ago was a huge result, especially doing so immediately after the international break.

Since their opening day defeat, there has been a lot of praise for the Diavolo, and things must continue against Italy’s reigning champions if they are to really establish themselves as contenders for the Scudetto, rather than Champions League challengers.

Conte’s changes

Conte has had to deal with a hectic September, playing Manchester City and Pisa in the last week. So, there has had to be some rotation from the Italian, and that could continue, especially with another Champions League game next week.

As TuttoNapoli writes, there are four changes currently being considered, as MilanNews relays.

Firstly, Stanislav Lobotka and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa will return in the midfield, whilst Juan Jesus will replace the injured Alessandro Buongiorno. Finally, Sam Beukema could also come into the backline in Amir Rrahmani’s place.

It is also worth considering that one of the Diavolo’s summer targets, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, could start this weekend, too.
