Massimiliano Allegri will rely on a high-level coaching staff during his second stint with AC Milan, and two names stand out above all.
Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress) reports on the matter, highlighting the fact that Allegri – in the first few days of work at Milanello – has been overseeing everything on the training pitch and making assessments on the squad.
Getting by with a little help from friends
It is in fact his two right-hand men Francesco Magnanelli and Bernardo Corradi that are directing operations. For the former, this is his second stint as an assistant to the coach, following his time at Juventus. For the latter, it’s his first.
Alongside Allegri are two longtime staff members, Marco Landucci and Aldo Dolcetti. In effect, the Milanello training camp is a quasi-retreat, according to the newspaper, in the sense that the players are free to choose whether to stay overnight at the training complex or return home to sleep.
One thing is mandatory: everyone must report for breakfast at 08:00 CEST every morning before the 09:30 training session, and they must be at the lunch for 12:30 with no cell phones allowed during either meal.
The players then return to their rooms ahead of the second training session which is scheduled for 18:00 followed by dinner, again as a whole squad, at 21:30. From this, Allegri wishes to build a real togetherness, and the help of his assistants is paramount.
