Tuttosport: Como move at ‘complete standstill’ for Morata as Milan-Galatasaray talks stall

Alvaro Morata’s hopes of joining Como are currently on hold, because negotiations between AC Milan and Galatasaray are not advancing.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the talks between Milan and Galatasaray to terminate Morata’s loan to the Turkish club are currently at ‘a complete standstill’. As a reminder, the Spaniard is on loan there until next January, so an early exit would have to be agreed by all parties.

Morata is aiming to join Como, coached by his great friend Cesc Fabregas. The Istanbul club have no intention of giving the green light for now, although things do not seem to have collapsed to the point of the possible €10m deal being off.

The former Atletico Madrid man hasn’t changed his mind about his future: he wants to play for Como next season. Morata, who returned to training with Galatasaray a few days ago, recently reiterated his intention to the Turkish club’s management.

Their directors have been negotiating with Milan for several days about terminating Morata’s loan, but so far an agreement hasn’t been reached. It could be that Galatasaray getting a deal for Victor Osimhen over the line might start a domino effect, freeing Morata to make the move he badly wants.
