A report has suggested that neither AC Milan nor Juventus will challenge Napoli after their 0-0 draw on Sunday evening.
There can be a lot said about Milan’s draw with Juventus. A strong case can be made that the Rossoneri should have gotten three points, with a goal or two scored. However, some poor misses resulted in a draw.
Massimiliano Allegri, on what some have called a homecoming, will be frustrated by the result, largely because of the chances that his team missed. However, there can be some positives; a draw at the Allianz Stadium with a clean sheet is not a bad result.
Conte falls asleep
For Tuttosport (via Football Italia), though, the result is a win for Antonio Conte and his Napoli side. According to their report, the game was ‘devoid of intensity’ with both teams afraid to lose, so much so that ‘Conte probably fell asleep’.
From that game, neither team showed the quality or conviction to challenge the Partenopei, so the belief is that the title picture could already have lost two teams. Of course, both teams missed big chances. However, it is a first draw of the season for the Diavolo, like the first loss, an anomaly, perhaps.

After getting three points earlier in the afternoon, Napoli returned to the top of the table. So yes, he may have won on Sunday. However, to suggest that the season is done as a result, well, that may be a little harsh.
