Tuttosport: Hellas Verona star already worth €15m after free arrival – Moncada an admirer

Hellas Verona forward Giovane could become a hot property when the transfer window opens, with AC Milan among the teams linked.

As reported by Tuttosport, Giovane is the latest signing that Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano deserves credit for, given that he snatched him up on a free transfer from Corinthians in July with his deal there having expired.

On the rise

In hindsight, it’s a steal, considering the 22-year-old striker is already worth €15m and is tempting all the big clubs. A few weeks ago, Milan’s technical director Moncada went to watch him at the Sinigaglia stadium during Como-Verona.

Not only that, but his face-to-face meeting with Inter captivated Cristian Chivu and Piero Ausilio. It doesn’t end there: Raffaele Palladino – who wanted him at Fiorentina in January – could now request him for his Atalanta side.

The list goes on: Roma and Juventus have begun to monitor him and have turned on their radars. The feeling is that Giovane is destined to become one of the transfer market’s headliners in the coming months.

For Juve, the report mentions that they will keep tabs on the situation above all in the event that Dusan Vlahovic leaves on a free transfer, having already signed Jonathan David and Lois Openda in the summer.
