Tuttosport: Milan already changed under Allegri – how the Italian shifted the rot

Last season, AC Milan rotted, and they did it quickly. In less than 12 months, the project fell into reverse and there were serious doubts moving forward.

Now, though, this is no longer the case. Milan are again looking forward and it is solely due to the work of one man, Massimiliano Allegri. In the space of a month, the squad has been turned around and even between the Arsenal and Liverpool games, changes were seen.

It is a side with some identity and recognisable ideas, which were lacking for the most part last season. Additionally, it seems that players are more willing to commit to the ideas laid out by Allegri.

Allegri’s revolution

In fact, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) write that Allegri has already ‘changed’ the Rossoneri’s strategy. ‘With a a solid playing structure, many players have flourished. From Loftus-Cheek to Bondo, from Saelemaekers to Leao as a center forward: so many players seem to have recovered.’

Of course, it is early days. However, players are already beginning to transform and Allegri’s impact cannot be overlooked. More work needs to be done in the mercato, but this seemingly will be done late, as we wrote about recently. As a base, though, for what he has inherited. Milan look much better under Allegri’s tutelage.
