Alexis Saelemaekers has been a standout for AC Milan this season, but the cover behind him does not inspire, or at least it hasn’t yet. So a move may be made.
Since he has returned from Roma, Saelemaekers has been exemplary. The Belgian looks like a player transformed, and few wing-backs are performing as well as him in Italy this season.
Milan have been lucky to have him available for most games this season, but when he was absent, an issue from the summer was raised again: the lack of depth behind him.
Of course, the Rossoneri got by with Zachary Athekame, but considerations are being made regarding a move.
Experience on the right
As has been reported in recent weeks, Adam Marusic is a name of interest, particularly to Igli Tare, who worked with the defender at Lazio. However, it seemed that he may have regarded a permanent move in the January mercato.

This morning, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) suggests that a pre-contract may only be arranged in the next month, with his deal expiring in the summer. He is seen as a ‘perfect Saelemaekers replacement’, if needed, especially as he can play on both flanks.
At 33-years-old, he would not seek a massively high wage, so it could certainly be a strong move to make.
