Pervis Estupinan did not feature this weekend, and there is a chance that he misses Friday’s game for AC Milan, too.
It was reported that Estupinan suffered a knock on international duty, but the Ecuador coach was quick to try and settle any nerves, and it seemed like he would be ok to play when he returned to Milan.
However, this was not the case. He returned requiring treatment on his ankle, and whilst he has done some work on the pitch, he is not close to joining the group just yet.
Waiting game
Earlier this afternoon, MilanNews reported that the Ecuadorian was in therapy today to help with the recovery of his ankle further. This only further suggests that he may not be ready for this weekend. Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirms this idea, stating that a decision will only be made in the next few days.

Considering how strong Davide Bartesaghi has been this season when given chances, it is not a massive worry, at least compared to what it could have been. Another chance to show his ability is not a bad thing for the Italian either.
However, Massimiliano Allegri will certainly want one of his starters back sooner rather than later.
