AC Milan could well sign another central defender to complete the department, and there are three names that stand out.

One of the most talked-about topics of discussion during Milan’s preseason, one which is now drawing to a close, has undoubtedly been Massimiliano Allegri’s tactical approach. In particular, his repeated use of a three-man defence, rather than the 4-3-3 many were convinced he would use.

The dress rehearsals went well, which could mean that the coach will continue down this path. After the sale of Malick Thiaw, therefore, just the arrival of Koni De Winter from Genoa might not be enough.

Who could it be? All the signs, so far, point to Caleb Okoli, an Italian formerly at Atalanta who plays for Leicester City. He would like to return to Serie A, especially after last year’s relegation with the Foxes.
