Christian Pulisic is reportedly on the verge of extending his contract with AC Milan, putting an end to any doubts that have been circulating.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Pulisic is expected to renew his deal with Milan until 2029 soon. The American winger is also set to receive a salary increase from the current €4m to €5m net per season, plus bonuses.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea player’s current contract with Milan expires in 2027, and there has been some speculation in recent weeks that he had halted talks over an extension because of doubts about the direction of the project.

Pulisic: Committed to Milan

The signs that Pulisic has given publicly have been very positive too regarding where he sees his immediate future. Interviewed a few days ago by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pulisic spoke about Max Allegri.

“I think he’s started off on the right foot. He’s a coach who’s coached many champions, he knows how to talk to players, how to create the right feeling with the team, and he’s focusing on giving Milan significant defensive unity, a crucial trait for creating scoring opportunities,” he said.

“If we want to improve, we can’t concede as many goals as last season. It’s something we need to be careful about and work on. Not just the defenders, but the entire team, because we defend as a team.”
