Alexis Saelemaekers is attracting interest from the Premier League, but he has no intention of leaving AC Milan.
After two years on loan – first at Bologna and then at Roma – Saelemaekers wants to fight for a spot at Milan. As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report, this is especially true because the Rossoneri have appointed a new coach who greatly appreciates his versatility.
Going nowhere
Massimiliano Allegri has asked the club to keep the Belgian, who in turn wants to stay at Milan. Yet he has plenty of admirers, both in Italy and abroad, particularly in the Premier League. Juventus have made inquiries, while in England both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa are big fans.
His plan is clear though: to stay and earn his spot. Milan, for their part, are also of the same thinking. Saelemaekers has often repeated that he is very happy at Milan and is therefore aiming to soon renew his contract, which expires in 2027.

There have already been some approaches between the parties in recent weeks, but now the Milan management is focused on these last three weeks of the summer transfer window and therefore any discussions have been postponed until after September 1st.
The Belgian could sign a contract extension until 2029 or even 2030 and will also have a salary increase (from the current €2m to €2.5-2.7m net per year).
