Tuttosport: The question marks Allegri will resolve in final session before visit of Como

If AC Milan are to remain in the Scudetto race, they need another win against Como on Wednesday night. Massimiliano Allegri has some doubts to resolve.

Inter are currently eight points ahead of Milan, who must win their game in hand versus Como tomorrow in order to make it five points again. Otherwise, there is a strong risk that the long-awaited derby on March 8 will arrive with the title battle already over.

Questions to answer

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report this morning, Allegri has a key player back in Alexis Saelemaekers for the match against Cesc Fabregas’s side, who are desperate for revenge after their defeat in the first meeting just over one month ago.

The Belgian missed the last two matches against Bologna and Pisa due to an adductor muscle problem, but returned to training with the team yesterday and will therefore be available for tomorrow evening’s match against Como.

Allegri Pulisic Loftus Cheek

It’s up to the coach to decide whether to start him straight away or place him on the bench, while still giving trust to Zachary Athekame, who put in two good performances in his last two games against Bologna and Pisa.

Allegri’s biggest doubt, however, lies in midfield, where Adrien Rabiot will be suspended. He will have to decide whether to replace him with Samuele Ricci or move Ruben Loftus-Cheek back into midfield after he played as a striker against Bologna and Pisa.

If the Englishman were to return to midfield, then Rafael Leao could get a chance to start in attack, alongside Christopher Nkunku. Today’s training session at Milanello will help Allegri resolve these line-up doubts.
