Tuttosport: Three signings Milan could make in January to remain Scudetto contenders

With the Scudetto in sight, AC Milan are expected to make three reinforcements during the January window, as reported by Tuttosport this morning.

After 13 games played, Milan are top of the Serie A standings with 28 points. A lot could change in just one round, but it’s clear that the Rossoneri can compete for the Scudetto this season, especially since they have done so well in the big clashes.

That said, Milan don’t have enough depth to last for the entire season. That’s why, as reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri directors are looking at making three ‘Scudetto signings’ in January: a centre-back, a right-back, and above all a striker.

To sign a striker, Milan might have to part ways with Santiago Gimenez despite the recent comments of his agent. If not, they would have to identify a low-cost solution, which could either be a loan or a very low transfer fee (like with Giroud in the summer of 2021).

Gimenez only has one goal to his name this season, though, so it’s not like he has done loads to deserve a stay at the club. On the flip side, the same can be said about Christopher Nkunku, who has been a massive flop so far considering his cost.
